These buttons were created by my husband Jeff in deer antler. Aren't they beautiful? This antler was naturally shed in Iowa. (My uncle found the antler in the woods there. I'm saving much of that special antler for my projects, and sharing some of it here.) The antler buttons hold up so well over time, they are literally heirlooms that you could pass down from generation to generation. (Definitely worth a little more cost.) Jeff sanded these buttons so smooth, you'll love the way they feel. The colors in the antlers can vary, these ones were white on the inside with a grey-ish hue around, and I like the natural edges and color around the sides. (Please excuse the smudge on my camera lens.) Pictured with grey yarn, these buttons would pair nicely with many different colors.

~Care Instructions~ Care for these buttons as you would wool: hand wash garment in cool water and lay flat to dry. If the wood should dry out from washing, a little walnut oil (or other natural oil) on a soft cloth works well to moisturize them. Oiling them will keep your buttons beautiful and protect them from drying out.
*Those are the care instructions for our wood buttons- the antler buttons won't dry out.*
