This wooden button was created by my husband Jeff in diamond willow wood. Is this wood gorgeous or what? It's a newly discovered favorite of ours and we have a limited supply of it, so it makes this wood even more precious to us. With all the sanding and polishing he does to bring out the beauty of the wood, this button is so smooth, you'll love the way it feels. Pictured with yellow yarn, this button would pair nicely with many different colors.

Measurements: Between 1.5 and 1.75 inches wide. (Closer to 1.75 at widest part.)

*This particular set of buttons has gone through a process to keep the bark on. A note from Jeff: "A lot of folks like the look of buttons with the bark still on them, but this isn't possible with most woods because the bark will come off right away. So I came up with a method of adhering the bark with a special inert (non-toxic) adhesive that permeates the bark then holds it to the main wood. Any adhesive on the surface of the button is then sanded and polished off. This gives a really nice look especially with Hemlock and Sassafras."

~Care Instructions~ Care for these buttons as you would wool: hand wash garment in cool water and lay flat to dry. If the wood should dry out from washing, a little walnut oil (or other natural oil) on a soft cloth works well to moisturize them. Oiling them will keep your buttons beautiful and protect them from drying out.
