If you are looking for unique, handmade buttons for your creative projects, you've come to the right place!
These wooden buttons were created by my husband Jeff in Oregon cedar wood, black walnut wood, red cedar wood, Oregon myrtlewood, Oregon hemlock wood, and reclaimed mahogany wood.
I do love the button mixes!
So many beautiful woods! The deep hue of the black walnut is gorgeous, and I love the carved heart in rosy-hued red cedar. The cedar and hemlock have rings of growth that I think are just incredible. The myrtlewood? Another gorgeous wood. And the reclaimed mahogany? It came from a 1930's J.C. Penney store in Seattle!
Jeff sands and polishes the buttons smooth, you'll love the way they feel. All the sanding and polishing also brings out the beauty of the wood and makes it glow.

~Care Instructions~
Care for these buttons similarly to washing wool: hand wash garment in cool water and lay flat to dry. The less time wood buttons spend in water, the better. Water can dry out the wood. Soaps and detergents even more so by removing the natural oil finish that protects the wood.
I have sometimes been able to submerge a garment for washing while keeping the wood buttons just barely up out of the water. If that doesn't work, I go for a quicker wash.
If the wood should dry out from washing, a little walnut oil (or other natural oil) on a soft cloth works well to moisturize them, and helps keep the buttons in better shape for longer.
