If you are looking for unique, handmade buttons for your creative projects, you've come to the right place!
I absolutely love our antler buttons! These buttons were created by my husband Jeff in shed deer antler. Male deer shed their antlers once a year and grow back new ones. The antlers make incredible buttons, not only for how well they hold up, but also for how beautiful they are.
Sanded smooth, you'll love the way they feel. I love the natural shapes and edges, and the variety of colors and texture in the antler- isn't the antler beautiful?
The deer antler can change size quickly, making it more challenging to get many buttons in the same size to make a matching set. The sets feel like a treasure!
The antler buttons hold up so well over time, you could pass them down from one generation to the next. How many things can you say that about these days?
So much love goes into making these buttons for you to enjoy on your special, creative projects!
Measurements: Each one varies slightly, between 1 and 1 & 1/8 inches wide.
Sometimes the antler needs to be stabilized for strength. More on that process below.

Beautiful antler + lots of sanding + polishing on the buffing wheel + a whole lotta love = some gorgeous buttons for your special projects.
~Care Instructions~ The antler buttons don't require the same care instructions as our wood buttons, which can dry out during washing. (Garments with the antler buttons can be turned inside out to protect the buttons- if planning to use the washing machine.)
..........
This particular set of buttons has gone through a process to stabilize the antler. This is a write-up from Jeff about the process to keep the bark on certain woods, which is the same process. A note from Jeff: "A lot of folks like the look of buttons with the bark still on them, but this isn't possible with most woods because the bark will come off right away. So I came up with a method of adhering the bark with a special inert (non-toxic) adhesive that permeates the bark then holds it to the main wood. Any adhesive on the surface of the button is then sanded and polished off. This gives a really nice look especially with Hemlock and Sassafras."
