If you are looking for unique, handmade buttons for your creative projects, you've come to the right place!

These wooden buttons were created by my husband Jeff in a variety of woods, and shed deer antler. This set includes one button in reclaimed sassafras, one small toggle button in shed deer antler, and one button in diamond willow wood.

I love the warm hue, rings of growth, and natural bark around the edges of the sassafras. I love the way the diamond willow has a deeper hue in the center, and the antler toggles are a favorite of mine. There are some gorgeous buttons in this set!

I love putting together mixes of our handmade buttons! This would be a great variety of buttons to add to your button stash to have on hand for projects or to give as a gift to a maker in your life. :)

Male deer shed their antlers once a year and grow back new ones. The antlers make incredible buttons, not only for how well they hold up, but also for how beautiful they are. The antler buttons hold up so well over time, you could pass them down from one generation to the next. How many things can you say that about these days?

He sands and polishes the buttons so smooth, you'll love the way they feel. All the sanding and polishing also brings out the beauty of the grain, and makes the wood glow.

So much love goes into making these buttons for you to enjoy on your special, creative projects!

Measurements: Sizes range from around 3/4 inch to around 1 & 1/4 inches wide.

*This particular set of buttons has gone through a process to keep the bark on. A note from Jeff: "A lot of folks like the look of buttons with the bark still on them, but this isn't possible with most woods because the bark will come off right away. So I came up with a method of adhering the bark with a special inert (non-toxic) adhesive that permeates the bark then holds it to the main wood. Any adhesive on the surface of the button is then sanded and polished off. This gives a really nice look especially with Hemlock and Sassafras."

Beautiful wood + lots of sanding + natural oil finish + polishing on the buffing wheel + a whole lotta love = some gorgeous buttons for your special projects.

~Care Instructions~ Care for these buttons as you would wool: hand wash garment in cool water and lay flat to dry. If the wood should dry out from washing, a little walnut oil (or other natural oil) on a soft cloth works well to moisturize them. Oiling them will keep your buttons beautiful and protect them from drying out.
