These buttons were created by my husband Jeff in flowering plum wood. Look at the designs in each button, aren't they neat? They almost look like each one was painted. We've been looking at and admiring every one. The love the bright center, the rich hues, and the natural bark around the edges.

When the flowering plum tree came down in a storm, we missed seeing it covered in beautiful pink blossoms every spring, it was such a beautiful sight. Jeff has been honoring our beloved tree by making things with every bit of the wood. He sands and polishes these buttons so smooth, you'll love the way they feel. All the sanding and polishing also brings out the beauty of the wood, and makes it glow.

So much love goes into making these buttons for you to enjoy on your special, creative projects!

Measurements: 3/4 inch wide.

This set of buttons has gone through a process to keep the bark on, more on that below.

Beautiful wood + lots of sanding + natural oil finish + polishing on the buffing wheel + a whole lotta love = some gorgeous buttons for your special projects.

~Care Instructions~ Care for these buttons as you would wool: hand wash garment in cool water and lay flat to dry. If the wood should dry out from washing, a little walnut oil (or other natural oil) on a soft cloth works well to moisturize them. Oiling them will keep your buttons beautiful and protect them from drying out.

*This particular set of buttons has gone through a process to keep the bark on. A note from Jeff: "A lot of folks like the look of buttons with the bark still on them, but this isn't possible with most woods because the bark will come off right away. So I came up with a method of adhering the bark with a special inert (non-toxic) adhesive that permeates the bark then holds it to the main wood. Any adhesive on the surface of the button is then sanded and polished off. This gives a really nice look especially with Hemlock and Sassafras."
