*There are 3 turtle shawl pins available. Enter how many you would like under quantity. They were not photographed separately because they were so similar. They are all in the same wood, and are very close in size, but each one will be unique- thus the beauty of handmade.

This handmade wooden shawl pin was created by my husband Jeff in reclaimed mahogany wood. He has created so many beautiful shawl pins over the years, and the carved turtle shawl pins he creates have been a favorite by many! They are a labor of love to make, and we only offer them in the shop occasionally. This batch of turtle shawl pins has a slightly smaller size than he has made in the past.

This mahogany wood is gorgeous! I love the reddish hue, and the markings in the grain. It's one of those woods that has that luminescent glow when you tilt it in the light.

The shawl pin stick is pointed at one end so it will go through knitted fabric easily. (Some people have told us they have worn our handmade shawl pins in their hair, some of our shawl pins can hold a small amount of hair.)

He sands and polishes the wood so smooth, you'll love the way it feels. All the sanding and polishing also brings out the beauty of the wood, and makes it glow. Each of these turtle shawl pins are carved with so much love and care. They are full of handmade character, and are sure to add a beautiful touch to your special shawl!



Measurements: The main body of the shawl pin is about 1.5 inches wide at widest point, and 1.75 inches tall. Shawl pin stick ranging from a little over 2.5 to is 2.75 inches long.
