These wooden flower buttons were created by my husband Jeff in yellow cedar wood. He sanded these buttons and burned a beautiful floral design onto each one. Then he took these buttons one step further and painted each one by hand. We have a really, really tiny paintbrush to do that! He used a good quality wood dye around the edges, and a different paint for the inside. Jeff said: "It's a little tricky painting with the wood dye and not having it spread into the design, but a tiny little paintbrush made it possible (if I held my breath and kept a very steady hand)." I've helped with painting before and I know how much work it is and how challenging it can be to stay within those small lines. The painted buttons are not perfect, each one unique- they are so beautiful and we just love how they turned out! These flower buttons are really something special.
