*Bee's Organic Seeds*
Bee's Organic Seeds was a kid-started, and now a teenager-run seed business. Our son Bracken has been planting and collecting seeds since he was a toddler, and decided to start his own seed business.
There is a lot of love that goes into collecting and processing many of the seeds. (After processing, he plants seeds to check germination and only offers seeds with excellent germination rates!) He creates the artwork for his seed packets, and carefully packs each and every one.
Every seed is organically grown and pollinator friendly. Every seed offered here begins as certified organic seed that we purchase~ all non-GMO and open-pollinated, and is then grown organically in our garden.

*Marigolds*
We grow marigolds in our garden every year, and we always manage to squeeze more into our garden beds, finding more places to put them.
Why Marigolds? They are easy to grow (good for those new to gardening), add so much beauty in the garden- their bright color is such a joy to see, and can help ward off pests near vegetable crops.
Marigolds are a great companion plant in your vegetable garden- they can help reduce the harmful nematode population in the soil!
They are also a gift to the bees, butterflies, and other pollinators in your area. If you want to help the pollinators where you live, plant flowers!
When you buy organic flower seeds, you are supporting flowers that were grown in a pollinator-friendly way, that helps protect the pollinator population.
Marigolds can bloom for a long time, making them good for pollinators throughout the season (which will help pollinate your vegetables and fruit.)
The flowers can also be used as a natural dye. The big bowl of marigolds in the pictures show our marigold flower harvest for a dye project we did (they give such a beautiful, bright yellow color!)
Marigolds can also be fed as an occasional treat to your chickens- they're nutritious, and make the yolks a bright orange color.
*Growing Marigolds*
Marigold seeds can be planted in the spring after the last frost. Cover lightly with soil, up to 1/4 inch or so. Marigolds like to be kept moist, they like sunshine, and they like soil that drains well. They are great for growing in pots or raised beds.

Your support of Bee's Organic Seeds makes it possible for Bracken to continue expanding his seed business, and doing what he loves~ sharing seeds with others to enjoy beautiful flowers and nutritious, homegrown vegetables in their gardens.
Want to spread the garden joy? These seeds make delightful gifts for gardeners in your lives! Or for those wanting to get started!
Thanks for your support of Bee's Organic Seeds!
