These wood & turquoise earrings were created by my husband Jeff in red cedar wood. I'm a fan of cedar wood and especially red cedar with it's rosy hue. To create these earrings, he purposely chose pieces of the wood that had two different colors in the hue, I just love that!
Jeff did woodburning on these, taking his time to create these beautiful designs, which makes these earrings truly unique. I think it looks like a light burst coming out from the turquoise stones.
With all the sanding and polishing he does to bring out the beauty of the wood, the wood is so smooth, you'll love the way it feels. I love the drop shape of these earrings and the beautiful blue turquoise stones.
If you're looking for lightweight earrings, these are a great choice for you! Not only is the red cedar beautiful, but it also makes for very lightweight earrings. (Plus these being a nice, small size makes them some of the lightest earrings we carry.) They come on silver plated ear wires. For an aromatherapy treat, put a drop of your favorite essential oil on the backside of these earrings (cedar is an absorbent wood and perfect for this) to enjoy the scent while you wear them. (A note from Taryn- I have a similar pair to these that I wear all the time!)
