These wooden buttons were created by my husband Jeff in Oregon madrone wood. We love madrone wood with it's beautiful, warm hue. He sanded these buttons and burned a swirl design in each one. Jeff was fond of this design when he saw it, calling it unity transformation because of the balancing in it, similar to a ying yang symbol. It does not have a particular meaning that we know of, just a nice balancing design.
He sands and polishes these buttons so smooth, you'll love the way they feel. All the sanding and polishing also brings out the beauty of the wood, and makes it glow.

~Care Instructions~ Care for these buttons as you would wool: hand wash garment in cool water and lay flat to dry. If the wood should dry out from washing, a little walnut oil (or other natural oil) on a soft cloth works well to moisturize them. Oiling them will keep your buttons beautiful and protect them from drying out.

These are beautiful! The wood is smooth, gorgeous wood grains, and the pattern is so unique. I just finished knitting up a cardigan and will sew them on now that I've received the backing buttons.
