*We decided to discount these buttons because after the wood dried (from the wet sanding) and shrunk in a certain direction, the honeybee designs ended up being a little off center. A great deal for some beautiful buttons!

These wooden buttons were created by my husband Jeff in osage orange wood. This wood is really something special- it has a glow to it- the wood looks luminescent when you tilt it in the light. Jeff thought the golden glow of this wood was perfect for some honeybees, so he burned a honeybee design into each button. He sands and polishes the buttons so smooth, you'll love the way they feel. All the sanding and polishing also brings out the beauty of the wood, and makes it glow.

~Care Instructions~ Care for these buttons as you would wool: hand wash garment in cool water and lay flat to dry. If the wood should dry out from washing, a little walnut oil (or other natural oil) on a soft cloth works well to moisturize them. Oiling them will keep your buttons beautiful and protect them from drying out.
